The exhibition Frenzied Plainsong, first solo show of George Yarker, is currently on show at arebyteLASER, a satellite project of Arebyte which is devoting its 2017 calendar to young British artists who focus particularly on issues linked to the post-digital present. Yarker’s works travel between image and text, and the exhibition includes the launch of his poetry collection Bíta.
Among the thight schedule of events it continues the Website Seeing, original virtual site-seeing experience of World Wide Web in a nicely curated, exclusive and weekly 5 minute automatic virtual tour. In Nov 2015, as part of The Wrong Biennale, arebyte launched World Wide Tours, which became an official feature of the Biennale. Curators are invited to submit a tour by choosing websites to lead visitors in an online journey; these can range from artists projects and proposals to non-art related and popular websites. Now, it is Carleigh Morgan who curates the tour Outernet exploring the interstitial spaces of the internet organism.
