FRAME captures 2,977 Lights Over New York Harbour, where an equal number of lights in the night sky on 11 September created a living constellation that coalesced into the Twin Towers at their actual architectural scale. Produced by Addison Mehr and Sky Element, this monumental project was realised thanks to the collective contribution of voices from the September 2001 community, including Brenda Berkman (FDNY rescue worker and artist), Tim Brown (FDNY rescue worker in 1993 and 2001), Terry Strada (relative of Tom Strada, chair of 9/11 Families United), Jim Smith (relative of Moira Smith of the NYPD) and Genevieve Siller (daughter of Stephen Siller). Conceived in dialogue with the iconic ‘Tribute in Light’, it was accompanied by music by Philip Glass, John Adams and Max Richter.
