VIDEO POST relaunches Precipitation, part of “Envisioning Chemistry”, a film part of an online exhibition that blends chemistry and art realised in 2019 with Wenting ZHU’s artistic direction in order to celebrate the International Year of the Periodic Table of the Chemical Elements (IYPT2019).
Precipitation reactions occur when cations and anions in solution combine to form an insoluble solid called a precipitate. This film shows the artistic exploration of the colors and forms generated by various precipitation reactions. In some cases, multiple precipitates were formed at the same time, giving rise to interesting shapes and textures.
