FRAME captures FREE by the multimedia artist Jonathan Gitelson. For two years he has been collecting “FREE” signs from curbsides throughout Southern Vermont. The sign were typically accompanying discarded goods made available on the streets for ‘free’. The signs that typically accompanied these items were part of the landscape. The artist was triggered with multiple suggestions. It all started in 2017. The signs, particolare the overview of multiple signs, and the large number of single sings that you can browse on his website, provides today with further associations related to freedom, found freedom and freedom still to be reached.
