This image, work by photographer Peter Ashton, is the result of the deterioration of the portrait of composer Alvin Lucier, reposted on Istagram of 90 times. Each time that an image is uploaded on the website (re-posted) it looses its quality. This is highly evident after 90 time, as much as it is event the limit of technology. Ashton has titled the experiment I am Sitting In Stagram to recall Lucier’s experiment I Am Sitting In A Room, realised in 1969 where the artist recorded himself to register the registration a number of times as far as the recording was an undeciphered noise.
