What you see here is a documentation- extract from Alter Banhof Video Walk (2012), work by Canadian artists Janet Cardiff & George Bures Miller, realized for Documenta, one of the most important art events on global scale, taking place in Kassel every five years, and for this latest 13th edition curated by Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev (2012). The work consisted of a video downloadable on smart – phones, inviting to walk around the Kassel’s station while looking at the screen, guided by a voice and by other sounscapes towards a journey into an integrally altered perception of time and space. This is ‘physical cinema’!
