ICA Miami’s Open Call program is an initiative that highlights the production of new experimental works of art, and opens the museum’s walls and collection to new artists. Each season the museum highlights a different medium, offering an opportunity for artists at any stage of their career to present a work at the museum.
This year, ICA’s Open Call is looking for new, original, and engaging works of web-based art. Digital and web-based art circumvent the traditional dominance of the gallery and museum system, delivering new forms of aesthetic experience while inquiring into contemporary systems of vision and distribution.
