MEDIA ART MONOGRAPHIC SHOW
Deadline: December 5th, 2014 Notification to the authors: December 19th, 2014 When: April 20th – 25th, 2015 Where: Manizales, ColombiaThe International Image Festival , conducted by the Department of Visual Design at the University of Caldas , is a meeting and debate on issues related to interactive design, media arts, audiovisual creation and electroacoustic soundscapes , and in general, the new relationships between arts , design, science and technology.
The International Image Festival is held since 1997, with 16 years of experience and 12 editions, is positioned as an event of international significance, given that Latin America is a pioneer in proposing the creation of knowledge in training and research in Art + Design + Science + Technology, through meetings, scientific seminars, national and international calls, discussion forums, concerts, workshops, exhibitions, webcasts among others.
The XIII International Image Festival will be held from 20 to 25 April 2015 and will have as main thematic the relations between Ecology + Digital Creation. The XIV Image International Festival convenes the XI Media Art Monographic Show, which aims to promote the creation linked to technology and to encourage integration between design, arts, science and technology. It also promotes the exhibition of telematic and collaborative developments between networks of designers, artists, engineers, communicators and interdisciplinary groups, through works developed in video graphic, electronic and digital media.

XII DESIGN ACADEMIC FORUM Deadline: December 5th, 2014 Notification to the authors: January 23rd, 2015 When: April 20th – 21st, 2015 (Academic Papers Presentation at Design Academic Forum) Where: Manizales, ColombiaThe Department of Visual Design of University of Caldas invites teachers, students, professionals and researchers in the fields of design, communication and interactive creation, to submit their papers in order to participate in the XII Design Academic Forum.
In the frame of the Image International Festival, the Design Academic Forum integrates a history of 17 years of activity that brings together designers, artists, journalists, engineers and professionals in related areas, who investigate issues related to innovation and creation in the contemporary society of information and communication.

RESIDENCE IN DESIGN + CREATION Deadline: December 5th, 2014 Notification to the authors: not available When: April 6th – May 2nd, 2015 Where: Manizales, ColombiaThe XIV Image International Festival, MediaLab and ViveLab Manizales invite teachers, students, professionals and researchers in the fields of design and interactive creation, to participate in the residency III DESIGN + CREATION with a project that articulates with the research of the Department of Visual Design in one or more of these topics: augmented reality; video games; development of digital content; cultural Entrepreneurship; cultural landscapes and habitats; data visualization; sound representation.
This is a scholarship carried out between April 6 to May 2, 2015 which aims to support individual artists in the development of a research and development in DESIGN + CREATION. The proposal must be framed in the field of interactive creation using the artistic means in which the author expresses his/her work and to aim the development of a project at the MediaLab and ViveLab Manizales and its presentation at the XIV Image International Festival from April 20 to 25, 2015.
