FRAME captures astrophotographer Andrew McCarthy’s shot of skydiver Gabriel C. Brown from a particular point in the Arizona desert.
‘We had to find the right location, time, aircraft and distance to get the sharpest shot, taking into account the descent trajectory of the unpowered aircraft to achieve the optimal solar angle and safe exit altitude,’ Brown explains on his Instagram page. ‘Then we had to align the shot using the opposition effect of the plane and coordinate the exact moment of the jump via three-way communications!’
