FRAME captures the installation by French architect Emmanuelle Moureaux, realised in Tokyo, on occasion of the 100th year anniversary of the Japanese drink Calpis. The Japanese tradition of writing wishes on a colored pieces of paper and hang them on a bamboo branch for the Tanabata day, was translated into an architecture of words, made of the Japanese hiragana alphabet used by children spatially orchestrated through colours, following her architectural concept of shikiri, which literally means “dividing (creating) space with colors”.
