The seventh edition of the project which transforms the momentous change we are all experiencing into a cultural and artistic offer is coming to Forlì. This event includes video art, performance art, interactive installations, conversations (also with art critic Renato Barilli) and electronic music.
“The concept of identity has always been a minefield. The boundaries between the physical and digital world are becoming more blurred with every passing day. We all have a digital identity to access the most diverse services in our daily lives. Before talking about the Metaverse, it would be fair to ask: How has this changed our lives, in the arts and beyond? Where will this epochal transition take us?”. Francesca Leoni and Davide Mastrangelo introduce the questions underlying the seventh edition of Ibrida – International Festival of Intermedia Arts, entitled Digital Identity and taking place in Forlì from 15 to 18 September in the spaces of EXATR – a hub devoted to contemporary art located in the city’s old town.
“Ibrida Festival was conceived in 2015 with the aim of investigating and divulging recent productions and research in the context of video art, while also welcoming within its scope performance art and electronic music combined with image experimentation”, add the creators and Artistic Directors of the event organised by the cultural association Vertov Project. “Intermedia Arts – as the name implies – envisage the simultaneous use of different media (video, installation, music, live performance) in a context of hybridisation».
