Print Error. Publishing in The Digital Age – Mostra online al Jeu de Paume 23 ottobre 2012 – 11 marzo 2014
23 October 2012 – 11 March 2014
The preponderance of the computer screen and the prevalence of an increasingly ‘oral’ culture have forced the press to undergo radical changes. This is the theme of “Print Error”, an exhibition conceived and organized by Alessandro Ludovico, artist and theoretician with a decade of experience as editor of the online and print magazine “Neural”.
The exhibit unfolds in virtual space but is hosted in a physical location, namely Jeu de Paume, an art center with a particular bent for the languages of electronic art. Since 2007 it has had a space exclusively dedicated to online exhibitions. Ludovico’s project includes new productions by artists such as Gregory Chatonsky, Benjamin Gaulon aka Recyclism, Julian Oliver and Danja Vasiliev, Jonathan Puckey (Moniker), DuroSport Electronics, and Do it yourself book scanner (Daniel Reetz). Many others have been added over time with new commissions.
