Adaptation from the book Cosmic View di Kees Boeke (1957), Power of Ten is a journey in magnitudes exploring the universe, written and directed by Charles and Ray Eames. A picnic by the lakeside in Chicago ends up at the outer edges of the universe from where to view the Earth as a speck of light among others. The journey continues back to the Earth, moving inward inside a DNA molecule. Everything happens according to an order of magnitude based on factors of ten. In 1998, Powers of Ten (1977) was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being «culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant».
