VIDEO POST > Proteus

VIDEO POST relaunches Proteus, a generative installation by Maria Smigielska, CompMonks, that allows visitors to interact with a large-scale digitised ferro-material through their brain activity. A BCI Muse device measures neural activity and adapts the image of the ferro-material accordingly, facilitating a more intense material-human interaction. The visual experience is enhanced by reflections and refractions of the image within an immersive, architecture-friendly portal. The project was upgraded to a web version in version 4.0 realised during a residency in Zagreb thanks to the European Media Art Platform.
