Video post captures The Sounds of the World, the 13 channels audio-installation by computer scientist, and digital artist, Francesc Martí alla Phoenix Gallery. This project is part of Martí’s research “Granular synthesis video”, with which he has been exploring, since 2014, techniques of granular sound synthesis to create audio-visual works. In this case Martí employs some extracts from Andrej Arsen’evič Tarkovskij’s films to which the work is inspired to, in particular to Sculpting in Time when he writes: «I feel that the sounds of this world are so beautiful in themselves that if only we could learn to listen to them properly, cinema would have no need of music at all».
