«Guided by an emotional approach, we constantly search for new forms of creative expression. Through an experimental practice we create meaningful works to challenge the boundaries between art, design and technology».
The video documents «True/False», the kinetic light sculpture realized by onformative, a studio for digital art and design founded in 2010 by Julia Laub and Cedric Kiefe. The machine activates a series of images that shape from an algorithm that is made perceivable through the sound. «On or off, true or false – state the authors in the description of the project – Some entities have the property of being committed to adopt either one of the two states and switch between them. This sculpture explores what lies in between these fundamental states in order to make change tangible».
