The post-internet age appears to manifest itself in a constant recombining of already existing facts and images. With this in mind, a year ago the Link Art Center launched Dadaclub.online, “an online archive and a creative platform which aims to celebrate the legacy of Dadaism a hundred years after its birth in Zurich on 5th February 1916”.
Artists were invited to creatively reuse digital copies of Dadaist works. The 148 works collected to date and published online will now be presented in Brescia’s Spazio Contemporanea, alongside a series of original Dadaist pieces from the Campiani Collection. Included are some now-classic artists, tireless experimenters in their day, such as Man Ray, Marcel Duchamp, Paul Citroen, Lázló Moholy-Nagy, Hans Richter and Hannah Höch, and covers of magazines like New York Dada, 391 and Le coeur à barbe.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a catalogue published by Link Editions
