During the period of isolation resulting from the pandemic, which marked 2020 as a historic year, we encountered technology in different ways. Creating connections and expanding the ways of enjoying art does not necessarily require advanced technologies.
From 11 November, the Magnani Foundation will use the telephone to construct an alternative way of experiencing artworks in the exhibition True Fictions. Every Wednesday, from 5pm to 7pm, OPERE AL TELEFONO will be active. This is a project inspired by the fairy tales told over telephone by the well-known Gianni Rodari. It will give visitors the chance to interact with the artworks, chatting with one of the Foundation’s experts, who will be asked questions: about the techniques used; the artists’ lives and their projects; discuss anecdotes linked to the images; the ideas behind each work and, finally, all the truths and fictions behind these photographs. Just browse through the catalogue on site, choose the image that intrigues you the most and call +39 0522/444446, in the certainty that on the other end there is a friendly voice which will transport you to another reality, that of the chosen work.
