VIDEO POST > Winter Fountains

Fountains can also be considered as urban monuments. This is the case of Winter Fountains (2017) by Jennifer Steinkamp, realized “to celebrate Benjamin Franklin’s research and evoking the art and science explorations represented by the Parkway institutions.” In this case the fountain is ephemeral and temporary. It constitutes, in fact, of eight digital animations projected into a dome sitting on the ground. The installation will be visible until March 18, 2018, preserved in the memory of whom experience it in the frame of its existence. We strive here to keep its memory a little bit longer.
